5 of my favourite pieces - Natalie Davies

1) "Bitter Milk" created by Gina and Matt, I really like this image as it reminds me of a patchwork quilt. I think the colours work well in producing the idea of texture even though it was created using acrylic paint.

2) "Paris Pyramids" created by Deanne Cheuk, I love the use of blurred, collaged images creating a nostalgic inspired repeat pattern, I think the use of scale also adds to how beautifully it works as a whole.

3) "Collage Blobs" created by Robin Cameron, I think its a lovely explosion of colour and a really effective in its simplicity.

4) "Dream" created by Eduardo Recife, by combining old photographic images with paint and illustration I think these pieces are really attractive, especially as they have a vintage quality to them.

5) This is an image I found in Elle Decoration I just think its beautiful and would love to live somewhere like it one day :)

What I'm about as a designer....
Basically I love the cluttered, the dainty and the over embellished.
I love looking at images that need to be looked at more than once, as there too much going on for you to take it all in at first glance.
I like to be reflective on the past as there are so many ideas out there that could be explored in new and exciting ways!
I enjoy creating hand made things but have recently discovered ways of keeping this look and refining them through the computer, I think this will defiantly play a big part in my work during my 2nd year.
