One of my favorite designers is Robert Ryan, who makes really beautiful papercut images by hand. I like his work because it is so intricate and delicate, and the fact that he makes all his images by hand makes them more personal and valuable because you can tell from looking at his work that it would take ages to produce. it also means his work is really easily recognisable and completely different to any other designers. I love the way text plays a major part in all his images and the way its so simple but really cute and sentimental. His book 'This is for You' is a collection of his images and also a story which i think is a really nice idea and his shop is amazing because it doesn't just sell the expensive papercuts and prints it also sells smaller items like hand painted plates, ceramic tiles and necklaces. Its nice to have something beautiful that you can also use.
