robins uses knitting to explore contemporary issues of the domestic, gender and the human condition. As with the hair text in crit studies; Robins regards her knitting as art. I came across her work through one of my tutors on my ND and instantly fell in love with her strange and unusual works created with two big needles and some balls of wool.
on the right is a piece entitled "knitted homes of crime" in which robins knitted the homes of female killers or the houses where they committed their crimes.kat spencer.
