I went to the artist book tour at Vernon street, looking at some of these artist books was quite helpful for me to understand the different ways artist books could look like and what could be put in them. I found that an artist book could be made up from almost anything some were quite unusual having single words on a page whereas some were drawings or photos. The artist book that was more appealing to me was ‘Joan Lyons, 25 years ago’. This book documents the finding of a lost purse, which was taken from her 25 years ago and was now found and returned by someone working in a vent system, the purse did not have any money in it but it still contained all her possessions. I thought this book was very touching as it felt like a lost part of her was returned although she would have probably forgotten about it since it was so long ago, It engages the readers in a way of them having some sort of a feeling that they may receive something that was lost of theirs in the past.
