When i went to look at Harvey Nichols i headed straight for the shoes! The pink collection of Christian Louboutin heels were amazing!! They were in a display case with about 4 different pairs which were all gorgeous and they had a video of the catwalk behind them. I thought that the layout of the display was well done because it made me want to look at them and try them on...unfortunately they were behind glass though! :(
The book talk was really interesting because i learnt a lot about what an artist book could be and it gave me lots of ideas for my own project. One book that stood out was a book by Cornelia Parker. She collected about 20 objects, took photos and then crushed them and took another photo of each. It was a really interesting idea cataloging what happened to each and seeing how much they were destroyed. I loved the actual book because each page was a photo of the imprint left on the paper by the object.
