Well the day I decided to go window shopping, I realised i was only really wearing the right clothes to window shop and not even to step foot in any pretty looking shops. Which I personally think shops assistants shouldnt make me think.. BUT anyway.. I saw a dress in the window of Vivienne Westwood. It was tartan and probably wouldnt have looked that nice on.. but the layers and construction that had clearly been put into this piece was amazing.. I just stood there staring untill the annoying assistants started looking..
I really wasnt excited for the book talk at first, but after seeing a few in the book binding lesson, I was abit too keen. I love how you can use any type of material and how personal books can be. I always have loved working on a smaller scale and making pieces of art that people can touch and look through, but for some reason I never thought about making a book. My favourite book that i saw was Ronald Kings it had the imprints of a woman moving around, but what i found special about the books was that each page had a different image on, but the front and back where the same image, so that he had to cleverly link the images together creating a complete different picture across the 2 pages. ( I really can't explain things very well).. either way. it was lovely.
