I attended the artists book talk at Vernon street, my favourite was a book by Cornelia Parker - lost volume: a catalogue of disorders. I found this book really unusual but really clever, in the back there was a series of black and white thumbnail images, that acted like an index. There was 18 but in the book there was only 16 images. So she did 18 photocopies but only 16 showed up on the photocopier. I also liked the front cover, a toy soldier had been put under the press and had left a mark behind, the soldier was also tied to the book using a piece of string. Another book which caught my eye was Daphne Ritzen notes from the desert which was situated on the second floor of vernon street. A series of really colourful, bright images printed on acetate, ring binded.
