Who I am as a designer- Suzanne Schiller
As I began developing this personal file of my inspirations I was excited to piece together a visual explanation of who I am as a person and a designer. What can often be difficult to express verbally, I was able to accumulate imagery illustrating a snap shot of what I would like to inspire towards and develop as a designer. It is evident to see in my file I am very much inspired by art and fashion. I gain inspiration from artist who explore new ideas and push the boundaries with shape and form. This file expresses fantasy, romance, artistic expression, exploration with media and creativity. I have allot of pieces which focus on fashion illustration such as Tuesday Mourning and Molly Molly. I’m inspired by fashion designers such as John Galliano and Manish Arora. I have recently become attracted to geometric shapes found in cells, and artist Kandinsky, Hundertwasser and Klimt. I am definitely drawn more towards fashion and enjoy manipulating and develop printed fabrics. As a designer I explore areas which have meaning and also try to develop design which venture away from what is the norm and popular such as flowers. I look towards designers who have achieved the impossible and inspire to one day reach to that standard and explore all possibilities.
